CALCULATION STUDY OF THE SOIL DEFORMATION DURING THE PRESSIOMETRIC TESTS

Abstract

The main goals of this work are to study model pressuremeter test. The paper highlights the results of the calculation study of the pressiometric tests in the loess clay loam. The model of the mechanical behaviour of the soil is investigated by the finite element method. Numerical simulations of the pressuremeter tests are performed with Plaxis3D Foundation software. In the process of experiment the pressure, area and probe side ratio values of hydraulic pressiometer were periodically changed. Using the statistical methods the related dependencies affecting the soil deformation have been determined. The calculation experiments conducted have proved that for the pressiometric tests during soil  compression the same rules are applied laterally as for  the stamps with vertical loads.
