PY - 2019/01/25 Y2 - 2024/03/28 TI - SPECIAL ASPECTS OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN DECISIONS IN THE SCIENTIFIC AND DESIGN DOCUMENTATION CONCERNING THE RECREATION OF THE ODESA TRANSFIGURATION CATHEDRAL: Array JF - Municipal economy of cities JA - МЕС VL - 1 IS - 147 SE - DO - UR - https://khg.kname.edu.ua/index.php/khg/article/view/5383 SP - 241-247 AB - <p><em>This article deals with the special aspects of the architectural and design decisions in the development of the scientific and design documentation for the recreation of the outstanding lost cultural heritage object of Ukraine – the Odesa Transfiguration Cathedral. The development of the scientific and design documentation for the recreation of the lost cultural heritage objects is significantly different from the same restoration one, not to mention the design documentation for reconstruction or new construction. Since 2007, this work has been regulated by the "Recreation procedure of the prominent objects of architectural heritage", approved by the Joint Ordinance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Ukraine) and the Ministry of Regional Development (Ukraine). This document is the only one that regulates the recreation procedure for the recreation of the lost objects in Ukraine. Taking into account that the Certified Architect and Designer with the qualification certificates are personally responsible for the quality and regularity of the State Building Codes of Ukraine (SBC), the recreation documentation of the lost cultural heritage objects, including fire and explosion safety. Developing the documentation they also use the respective SBC for new construction. At the same time, in Ukraine there are no State Building Codes for the reconstruction of the outstanding lost cultural heritage objects.</em></p><p><em>The Odesa Transfiguration Cathedral, destroyed in 1936, was recreated in 1999 – 2010 in Cathedral Square. The traditional character of the historical development of the city, its main urban dominant and the central element of the spiritual objects are restored. The design solutions, proposed and implemented during the Cathedral building, provide its twenty-year design and functional reliability in the real conditions of anthropogenic environment of the modern Ukrainian city. The possibility of seismic influence and technogenic increase of groundwater are taken into account. The example of the practical approach to the adoption of appropriate architectural and design solutions in real conditions may be useful to the professionals working in this branch.</em></p> ER -
