ABOUT THE INTERPRETATION OF IDEA ABOUT NONLINEAR WORLD IN ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING THEORY
Abstract
The article touches the problem of interpretation of the idea of nonlinearity of the world in architecture and urban planning. A brief overview of the basic concepts about nonlinearity, made by scholars of natural sciences, is represented in the article. The concept of "nonlinear architecture" and the problem of the correctness of its usage towards urban objects are investigated in the paper. The examples of the occurrence of nonlinear effects in the urban system are described in the paper. It is proposed to consider the city as a nonlinear dynamic urban system through the prism of demoecological concept. It is substantiated the elaboration of methods of mathematical modeling of exposure of nonlinear effects features in urban systems based on the concept of potential of space-time organization of the territory. Keywords: nonlinearity, nonlinear effect, evolutionary and synergetic paradigm, nonlinear architecture, city, urban system, potential of space-time organization of the territory
