MEASUREMENT OF COORDINATES OF A COLOURED OF SURFACE OF SIGN-BOARDS
Abstract
The purpose is toughening of control of lighting characteristics of the operated equipment, in particular, of color characteristics of road signs by establishment of compliance of the actual flowers of road signs to requirements of the existing normative documents. Similar discrepancy has an adverse effect on safety of participants of the road and transport movement. Producers of signs specify the term during which necessary quality of road signs is guaranteed. Road signs constantly are in rather severe conditions, are affected by temperature changes, solar radiation and the atmospheric environment. Degree and results of such influence are individual for each road sign. Having developed an available technique of an operational assessment of quality of road signs directly on a place of their installation, it is possible to cut down significantly expenses on maintenance of quality of road signs, so and traffic safety, at the necessary level. The offered measurement technique is based on use of the personal computer as the comparator of files of the image of a road sign and a measure of color. The file of the image of a measure against a road sign turns out by means of the digital camera. The measure of color is put directly to the corresponding site of a road sign. Thanks to it conditions of lighting and registration for a measure and a sign coincide. The accuracy of measurement is influenced by a comparison method error. The method allows receiving numerical characteristics of color of a covering of road signs and doesn't demand use of the expensive equipment. All this allows hoping for broad application of a control method of chromaticity of road signs in practical work. Keywords: colorimetry, road signs, chromaticity coordinates, quality control.
