PREDICTIVE CALCULATION OF THE SPREAD OF WATER AREAS WITH HIGH LEVELS OF POLLUTION, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE DEPTH OF THE RIVER AND ITS BED ROUGHNESS
Abstract
Water quality in the rivers of Ukraine, which are the main sources of water supply, to date, does not meet the regulatory requirements. The main reason for high pollution are systematic accidental discharges of inadequately treated water from sewage treatment plants. To take prompt measures to normalize the status of water bodies after the accidental discharges and prevent the use of contaminated water in the national economic order should be assessed during the arrival of contaminated water to the alignment of the water intake. The sequence of calculation of the time to reach the front part of the zone of water with high levels of pollution predetermined reference range of the river is considered. The results of the study, depending on the depth of the river of time for different values of roughness coefficient her bed, are shown. The features of this time change with increasing flow rate of the river are shown. The analysis was conducted for the following rivers: the river in very favorable conditions, and rivers in relatively favorable conditions, but with some of the stones and seaweed, rivers significantly clogged, winding and partly overgrown. Keywords: predictive calculation, roughness coefficient, the control target.
