FORMATION OF PROTECTING HEALTH COMPETENCIES IN STUDENT YOUTH
Abstract
In the last decade is evident deterioration of health of students during their studies in higher educational institutions of Ukraine. In this context, the problem of upbringing culture of health preservation as worldview orientation in the educational process of higher education acquires the special significance. Therefore, the purpose of the study is establishing of level protecting health competencies in students and substantiation of necessity their formation.It was established that the majority of students surveyed inherent low protecting health competencies. In particular, we show that 33,33-47,37% of students of 1st and 4th th courses found themselves in situations where they or other people (44.05 and 42.11% respectively) requiring emergency care, but could not get it. Instead, in most cases (80.95 and 68.42%) young people their own provided pre-doctor self- (mutual) assistance.
It is also shown that motivation studying the subjects "Fundamentals of medical knowledge" in students in the 1st and 4th courses was distributed as follows: in the first place on the importance for students is the desire to help another, the second-own safety, in third place, students chose their health as motivation to learn subject.
Therefore, the formation of competencies in young people is one of the priorities of higher education institutions in the context of preparing future specialist that is a pledge of upbringing a healthy nation. To achieve this, the main task of higher education institutions is to develop of students' value attitude to health and responsible orientation to it. Proposed to enter in educational plans of faculties discipline "Fundamentals of medical knowledge" to implement competency approach to training future specialists with the aim of their successful social adaptation. Prospects for further research is the search for the most effective tools, techniques and techniques of training that would help preserve the health of today's youth.
