general and fatal injuries, regional rating.Abstract
A comparative analysis of the ranking positions of regions for general and fatal injuries has been conducted. The state of occupational injuries in Ukraine in the regional aspect from 2014 to 2017 is analyzed. An estimation of the intensity of structural shifts by means of the mean linear and mean square coefficients of absolute structural shifts, as well as the integral coefficient of structural differences of Gatev.
The first positions in the rating for the general level of occupational injuries correspond to the regions such as Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Kyiv and Zaporozhye, respectively. The leading position in the area of fatal injuries is Transcarpathian region, which, according to its general level, was given the penultimate position: among the 44 injured people, 20.4% of them lost their lives.
Analyzing the intensity of changes in the level of fatal injuries, the most significant of them are characteristic of Rivne region (increased position in the ranking by 17 positions). In addition, the Kherson region (lowered the position in the ranking by 11 positions), and the Lviv and Mykolaiv regions (increased position in the ranking by 10 positions) also marked a significant change.
Thus, the comparative analysis of the ranking positions of regions for general and fatal injuries has in most cases demonstrated diametrically opposite results: in general, the leading regions by the total number of traumatized persons in their structure are characterized by the lowest percentage of deaths and, conversely, participation in the production process for a significant proportion of people injured in the most secure areas in the general rating, cost them a loss of life.
