Abstract

This article analyzes the development of the Technopolis concept, which were prerequisites for the creation of the technocratic utopia of the past. We consider such projects as the "Sun City" Tommaso Kompanello, "The New Atlantis" Francis Bacon, industrial settlement Robert Owen, an industrial city Shaw Nicolas Ledoux, and urban concepts of the twentieth century. The attention is focused on the origin and development of ecological thought in urban planning, which is reflected in modern technoecopolis. Technopolis presents contemporary designs, which are based on modern principles of resource conservation, "clean" technologies, environmentally friendly life.
Keywords: technopolis, technocratic utopia, urban planning, new technology.
