HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT AND THE CURRENT STATE OF DEVELOPMENT OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Abstract
The corporate social responsibility (CSR) has acquired a stable character and become a necessary precondition for a stable business as well as an indicator of improving the social culture and level of life of the society. Ukrainian companies have just begun to develop and introduce the CSR principles into their corporate culture. Corporations, on the one hand, attempt to develop specific approaches to social responsibility, implementation of international principles of transparency, ecological safety, labor relations, and support of the society. On the other hand, they are forced to build their policies in the conditions of the crisis state of the economy and social sphere of the Ukrainian society. In this situation, development of the approaches to social responsibility based on generally accepted international principles but considering peculiarities of the national mentality could be a solution. CSR as a social phenomenon is only the beginning stage of its development at the enterprises of the Ukraine.
