CONCEPTS OF DIGITAL MORPHOGENESIS IN ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN
Abstract
Among the liberal arts, research related to the problem of digital globalization has become increasingly relevant. It’s aimed at studying the consequences of this general cultural phenomenon and the ways in which its results are applied in architecture and design. One of them can be presented as morphogenetic design, one of the innovative and promising areas, and significant part of the Computational design. It also reflects the organic logic of the open systems existence, typical of a synergetic picture of the world. Historical prerequisites concerning digital morphogenesis, biomorphism, organic design are identified. The significance of digital morphogenesis in architecture and design is also presented.
Keywords: digital morphogenesis, biomorphism, organic design, biological paradigm in architecture and design.
