JUSTIFICATION OF THE EXPEDIENCY OF USING THE TERMINAL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE SPARE PARTS DELIVERY IN THE INTERCITY

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the efficiency of vehicle-spare-parts delivery in the intercity by road transport. In the basis of planning and organization of delivery technology, the transport and technological scheme is decisive. The choice of transport and technological scheme influences on the efficiency of the delivery process. Two delivery systems have been considered as alternative: a direct delivery from the consignors to the consignee and a terminal delivery scheme to simulate the delivery of vehicle spare parts in the intercity. The total costs of the delivery process have been proposed as the criterion for the determining of the rational delivery system. The total cost consists of the cost of cargo processing, the cost of freezing capital, the cost of forwarding, the cost of loading and unloading, the cost of transportation and the cost of processing cargo at the terminal. As the volume of the request and the delivery distance of the model are random variables, according to statistical data it has been defined that the variation of their values does not contradict the normal distribution of random variables. It was taken into account in experimental studies. Besides, for the experimental studies, we have drawn up for the full factorial experiment and we have defined the levels of factors’ variation. Functional dependence of total costs in the intercity delivery on request flow parameters for each delivery system has been determined with the using of regression analysis tools. Regression analysis allows us to obtain regression models of the dependence of total costs on the parameters of the requests flow for transport services, with the help of which the influence of the parameters of the requests flow on total costs has been determined. The results have shown the most appropriate values of exponential model for both delivery variants. The proposed method allows us to estimate the impact of the delivery system on the total cost of delivery of vehicle spare parts in the intercity and determine the area of effective use of the terminal delivery system under certain conditions of operation of road transport based on logistic principles.
