PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF GEOGRAPHICALLY DIFFERENTLY ORIENTED SOLAR MODULES IN NIŠ (REPUBLIC OF SERBIA)
Abstract
The paper gives results of the investigations of the physical characteristic of differently oriented monocrystalline silicon solar modules in Niš (Republic of Serbia). Experimental setup consisted of three vertical solar modules oriented toward East, South and West, horizontal and optimally inclined solar module oriented toward South. The results of average electrical energy generated by mentioned solar modules in October 2014, are given. In addition, the measurement results of solar radiation intensity, ambient temperature, electrical energy generated by five solar modules, change in solar modules temperature, change in current and voltage of optimally oriented solar module and vertical solar module oriented toward South, change in maximal power (P MPP ), change in short circuit current (Isc), change in open-circuit voltage (Voc), change in Fill Factor (FF) and the daily efficiency of solar modules on 13.10.2014 are given. The obtained results can be used in solar architecture for projecting building integrated PV systems (BIPV systems). Keywords: physical characteristic of PV modules, energy efficiency, solar module temperature
