RESEARCHING OF INFLUENCE OF DRIVER STATE ON ITS REACTION TIME IN TRAFFIC CONGESTION
Abstract
The driver in the course of their work is constantly faced with obstacles that inhibit and reduce its effectiveness. One of the important problems for the driver is a traffic jam. Congestion and traffic jams contribute to increase the driver's mental and emotional stress and frustration of some of its temporary psychophysiological functions. In this functional condition of the driver deteriorates, which leads to an increase in its reaction time.This article was first reduced and analyzed changes in reaction time of drivers of different ages and temperaments in traffic jams according to their initial state.
When the initial state close to normal, the reaction time increases for drivers of all ages and temperaments. It means that the traffic congestion at the normal state driver has an adverse effect on its functional state, thereby increasing its reaction time.
When you enter the congestion in the stressed state at the reaction time of drivers with different ages and temperaments vary in different ways.
The young driver, choleric reaction time is reduced to nine minutes, and only then begins to grow without reaching the end of the primary value. In sanguine to six minutes the reaction time is reduced, and then it begins to rise. In the melancholic response time to six minutes does not change, and then it begins to rise.
At fifty-driver choleric trend in reaction time is the same as that of the young, however, the end of the jam reaches the initial value. The driver-sanguine response time is first reduced, and then it begins to rise. In the melancholic reaction time increases with the beginning of the traffic congestion.
